ROSEANN LAKE - is a journalist furiously at work on a book about the sassy legions of 20 and 30 year old unmarried Chinese women also known as "leftovers." She came up with the idea of a cartoon series about a superhero who goes around saving single girls faced with extreme pressures to marry, based on hundreds of conversations she's had with Chinese women facing unsavory ultimatums to tie the knot. In addition to her book - which takes a more serious, socio-political gander at the state of marriage in China - she hopes this cartoon series will offer a playful , yet critical look at the parental pressure cooker that is modern -day China. 



LEO LEE -  is the cartoonist in chief, lending his imagination and his fingers to the artistic rendering of Chao Ji Shengnu. He’s the man behind her magic and her mischief. He started life with a strong distaste for blue cheese, but these days, can’t get enough of it.

RYAN MYERS – is the grand Poobah of the entire operation. His linguistic talents and superhuman China savvy are the reason we can pull it all together. He’s also a whiz in the kitchen, but should be kept a safe distance from fireworks and other explosives at all times.
